That was the SCARIEST game I ever watched.

"The game was AWESOME. The ads stunk. The old pepsi ad with Mean Joe Green was redone by Coke with Polamalu which was kinda funny but that’s it. I see funnier commercials on regular tv than what the Super Bowl had. Plus, I hate these stupid washed out 80’s stars they get to perform - Journey and Bruce Springsteen?!?! Can they get noone better to perform in these things? I remember the last Super Bowl I watched (I only watch the Steelers. Go Pittsburgh!) they had Mick Jagger perform. Gag! We flipped to FOX News and watched Huckabee during Halftime. Neil Cavuto was on and it was way better than the gagfest the halftime show is."

I had another dentist appointment last night. And guess what? Yeah, for me, 'cause I only had bleeding in 2 places up front. I am doing so much better at flossing! I congratulate myself! This is the 3rd dentist appointment I've blogged about. I realized that means I've been blogging for over a year. I then laughed at myself because I blog about my dentist appointments? As if I have nothing else in my life blogworthy like, Mom's pregnant and due in Jan. with my 10th sibling bringing us to a total of 11. Or, perhaps, that my only older sib is engaged to be married in March. So, if I blog about her it'll now be MFM or MM rather than the previously mentioned MH. (Which I kinda doubt I'll do anyway as I note that my total amount of posts this year doesn't even surpass all the posts I made those few months last year when I first started.) Remaining pure. Now there's a topic that's touchy. Personally, I agree with Josh Harris. Dating shouldn't be about our feelings. Whether or not this is the person you want to marry. That's the question you ought to be trying to settle. I already had vague ideas of this before I read Joshua Harris' book I Kissed Dating Goodbye and it's sequel Boy meets Girl but, reading it just helped clarify so many things for me. I now have clear-cut views about how to go about getting the right guy. That didn't come out right. Of course, I know whoever's out there for me isn't gonna be perfect and I know there's no "set of rules" about exactly how to go about finding someone. But, I have a point now. I'm gonna dedicate myself to being better. Always praying and asking God for guidance, wisdom, mercy, and help along the way. Working each day to become a better and better person so I can glorify God and, in so doing, become a person better able to love, honor, and obey, my future husband. I don't date. I will court - Though I know it really doesn't matter what you call it. I just love that term. - whenever I am ready and responsible enough to be married. (Although I'll obviously be having to ask alot of people before I'll know that.) I like that girl who wrote that article entitled Don't Kiss Me, I'm right there with her.

As for the week after Christmas I got to go to a huge rented house and do NOTHING! I read a ton of books, watched some movies, and hung out with my family! Very relaxing. But, I'm happy to be back. :D

Whew! So, where were we? Ah, yes, the H.-side o' the family cousins. Boy, it's been so long............ OK, here we go. Hurrah for me! Oh and of course you too SJH.We did totally beat MFH and SMD at Scattergories! Though we only got to play 2 rounds and not the full 3 we still beat 'em by 7 points! As for the SillyString ........... well, KDH and I concocted a plan, that, of course, did not go as expected (When do plans, the ornery things?) to get SMD with it. Let me set the scene for you. Close your eyes and picture: Everyone at the condo the cousins were staying at. Now open your eyes or how will you read! It's the last night of their stay. When you enter the condo there is a doorway to the left, leading to the kitchen. So, I hide just inside this doorway armed with my can of SillyString and KDH tries to lure SMD out to the balcony (K. also has SillyStuff).
KDH: Hey, M!
SMD: What?
KDH: Come here! Someone threw a football over the balcony! Come see! (I know, I know. Weak. But, he was pressed for ideas. Cut him some slack.)
SMD: What?
KDH:Someone threw a football over the balcony! Come see, M!
SMD gets up and walks slowly over. Stops, right before he gets to the kitchen door.
SMD: What? Whatever, K.
He turns around to go back to the couch where pretty much everyone else was watching The Scarlet Pimpernel - Which, by the way, is a good movie you should watch sometime. Not the old,old one. The one with Ian McKellan in it. - anyway, I'm thinkin' what! And I leap out from behind the wall, K. right behind me. And hosin' him down with the SillyBilly. It was totally hilarious. He jumps back and then starts laughing while everyone else turns around and starts laughing at whats going on. KDH and I are already dying of laughter as he trys to steal it from us. Good times.
Eventually however, he wrestles it away from me. Then he takes it up to the tenth floor and empties it up there - claimed it floated all the way across the parking lot before it came down - instead of squirting it at me like I expected him to do . I suppose this is maturity. *smirks* Then again, this is the guy who blew straw wrappers at us while we were in Chick-Fil-A.

When I got to the computer at 6:45 or so this morning it was such a delight and relief to know I could turn it on! My self-imposed quota of collegework to finish had been completed! That's the beauty of mail-in courses. Set your own schedule. Now I can sit back, enjoy the staff party tonight, and anticipate the arrival of my cousins, who are coming tommorrow! My Dad's Mom (my Grandma) and one of his sister's family are scheduled to arrive late tommorrow. And one more cousin via plane Tuesday. One Grandma, Aunt, and Uncle to hug.................. and I'm thinkin' the cousins deserve some special treatment. Like a marshmallow shooter and some Silly String....................... seperately of course. I'll let you know how it goes. ;P ;D

What is with all these newspeople saying "the unpopular war" ? What's unpopular about it? I don't hate the war! I love the war! What's with all this naysaying about it? President Bush is doing the best he can and somebody's got to do it! Otherwise we'll all end up wearing burkha's and saying "Allah Akbar!" or face death. (Which, if it came to that, I think I'd take the latter option.) Where are all the war supporters? We need to wear t-shirts saying "I love the war!" and "Hey, y'know that Iraqi war thing? ISN'T IT GOING GREAT!?!". So, all you couch potatoes, get out there and shout - I LOVE THE WAR!!!!

I should totally get FrankJ (of IMAO.us fame) to make those t-shirts.........

I forgot to tell you about Thanksgiving! A roll of the dice, a slip of the tongue- I was stirring up the hornet's nest- it finally got me stung. I tried to do the right thing but the wrong was done. It's over excuse my grammar but the fat lady sung. And I wish I was Michael J. Fox- I'd visit the past. Then come back to the future when I'd cleaned up my act. I don't know what went through my head. Was my conscience shot? Was it left for dead? I said "I'm sorry" but no one heard cause actions speak louder than words.I think I made God angry, yeah I'm sure that He's irate. I just hope my remorse was not too little too late. Has any one else noticed how Mandie from the Mandie books has gotten more bratty with each book? Constant foot stamping, sighing; honestly, Joe deserves better. But, Joe she is destined for, no matter how she feels in her finnicky moods. I looked back in the earlier books and she is a much sweeter, nicer girl. But, I can't stop reading them now. The series is almost finished and I will see it to the end. Even if Joe has the brattiest wife ever. She'd better marry Joe.
Y'know, I loved this series all while I was growing up and now.......... I can hardly stand her she's behaving so awfully. Sure, she's nice at times, but other times................
:( 40-some books later I find out she's not nice. Maybe, she'll grow - up in college but, the first college book showed no signs of it. And, while I'm ranting may I note - and I don't dislike Mandie for it, it's just always been kind of a joke with me, my mom, and sisters - that every guy in the series likes Mandie? I mean, poor Celia! Robert is the true One for Celia. He's the only one who's liked Celia when Mandie's there. :) I'm laughing now. But, it's true that, with the exception of when Polly's there and the guys can't seem to figure out whether to admire Mandie or Polly ( which Mandie has gotten a little more bratty about, but that's understandable where Joe's concerned), it seems like Celia, Sally and the other girls never get any attention.
Glad I got that off my chest. ;D There is hope for Mandie, I know it.

Remaining pure. Now there's a topic that's touchy. Personally, I agree with Josh Harris. Dating shouldn't be about our feelings. Whether or not this is the person you want to marry. That's the question you ought to be trying to settle. I already had vague ideas of this before I read Joshua Harris' book I Kissed Dating Goodbye and it's sequel Boy meets Girl but, reading it just helped clarify so many things for me. I now have clear-cut views about how to go about getting the right guy. That didn't come out right. Of course, I know whoever's out there for me isn't gonna be perfect and I know there's no "set of rules" about exactly how to go about finding someone. But, I have a point now. I'm gonna dedicate myself to being better. Always praying and asking God for guidance, wisdom, mercy, and help along the way. Working each day to become a better and better person so I can glorify God and, in so doing, become a person better able to love, honor, and obey, my future husband. I don't date. I will court - Though I know it really doesn't matter what you call it. I just love that term. - whenever I am ready and responsible enough to be married. (Although I'll obviously be having to ask alot of people before I'll know that.) I like that girl who wrote that article entitled Don't Kiss Me, I'm right there with her.
